about

The Spice Cabinet plays Dido. Capturing the original vibe of the song was super important to me, because, honestly, it's a beautiful song. The Spice Cabinet usually has very aggressive, forward-heavy music, and I wanted this one to mean as much to the audience as it meant to 6th grade me: emo little Terry; emotionally incapacitated, staring out the window of the car as we drove home from school every day, listening to this song on repeat. In all seriousness, though, it's a beautiful song, and I didn't want to ruin it with too many 32nd notes, and fusion jazz lick references, so I opted for a more mellow approach. I hope you like what you hear. Also, Alex Cummings is the man.
